Plagiarism or language development? (ppt 201kB)
Ursula McGowan, Deputy Director, LTDU
Plagiarism has been much in the news of late, but the term is a very rubbery one. It embraces the two extremes of outright cheating on the one hand, and the lack of language for appropriate citing on the other. This session examines ways of assisting students in re-using the language of their readings without plagiarising. First presented at the ELSE/ ACTA conference in January 2002. |
