Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Quality)

The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Quality) contributes to achieving the University's strategic goals by providing leadership in the areas of learning and teaching, as well as oversight of the University's quality assurance processes. The Centre for Learning and Professional Development operates within the PVC(L&Q) portfolio to assist in achieving the University's educational aims and objectives for both staff and students.

Reviews and Evaluation
As part of enhancing and maintaining quality in all aspects of learning and teaching in the University, the Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) provides access to the external reviews, the University's discipline and course review program, and to sites dealing with the major evaluative mechanisms currently in use in the higher education sector.

Quality Assurance & Improvement
The University of Adelaide is committed to the principles of quality assurance and improvement through rigorous and thorough self-assessment.

Approval of New Programs
The processes that ensure the academic quality of new and revised programs by assessing demand, viability and the impact on faculty resources, while supporting adequate promotion of new programs.

Information on government policy in Australian higher education, links to universities' and other stakeholder groups' sites, and access to the current structures, codes and protocols for quality assurance in Australian self-accrediting institutions and accrediting agencies.
