Most matters historically managed through statutes are now managed through University Policies and Rules. However, some residual and important statutes are still current. Statutes carry the force of law.
The University of Adelaide By-Laws
Authorisations Under the By-Laws
The by-laws govern the use of the University's grounds. Breaches of the by-laws are an offence and may attract a maximum penalty of $200, or an expiation fine of $35. [Allowed by the Governor in Executive Council South Australian Gazette, No. 104, p.3436. F.2001/452 and as amended on 5 July 2007]
