Welcome to the Adelaide Graduate CentreThe Adelaide Graduate Centre oversees the management and awarding of research higher degrees (HDRs), the provision of researcher education programs and the development of research higher degree policy at the University of Adelaide. The Centre's responsibilities for Research Higher Degree students include:
International HDR student admissions, however, are not managed by the Adelaide Graduate Centre but rather by the University's International Office, contact via Online Enquiry Form or phone +61 8 8303 4072. The Centre also houses the Researcher Education and Development (RED) unit. The RED unit provides, for both academic staff and HDR students, a range of face-to-face workshops, online modules, individual consultations and resource materials. The Centre operates under the leadership of the Dean of Graduate Studies, who also convenes the Research Education and Development Committee (REDC). REDC is in charge of research higher degree policy development, and has legal responsibility for the award of the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy and Masters by research. Operational Research Business Information Tool (ORBIT) – Student Profiles is a web-based system that provides users with a detailed view of the research activities of the University. The Student Profiles module delivers a range of operational and statistical reports on HDR students. Further information may be viewed on the ORBIT website.
