Postdoctoral and Early Career Researcher ResourcesThis page has been designed to link resources, provide information and a meeting place for early career researchers. It also aims to provide information on developing your career and stimulate your interest in the University environment.
FundingA key to successful research involves sourcing and successfully applying for competitive research grants. To assist in this the Research Branch alerts University researchers to competitive grant opportunities, administers the application process (provides feedback on drafts where requested), acts as principal liaison with sponsors, assists researchers with administering their grants and prepares reports for sponsors and management on grant activity. The Research Branch also works closely with Faculty Associate Deans (Research), other research leaders and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) in developing and maintaining effective policies, structures, plans and mechanisms to support University researchers and their activities. For more information about the resources available from the Research Branch, and comprehensive information on grants, fellowships and other funding opportunities, visit the Research Branch website. The Australian Research Council (ARC) also provide specific grant opportunities for early career researchers. Set up grants may also be available from your department/school/centre. Speak to your Head of Department about a possible grant. This could also be discussed when negotiating your employment at the University.
