How you return books to us

The Library subscribes to many electronic journals, which you can access online. However there will be times when you need material which is not available electronically, and we have a Document Delivery Service which will provide you with copies of journal articles, and loans of books, on request.
How to Request Books and Journal Articles
There's a request form on the web.
Type of request must be "Off-site Requester", so please make sure you always check the appropriate box.

When you submit a request a message goes to Document Delivery, and an email message is sent to you, confirming the details.
We also have a Printable Request Form for those trying times when technology fails, and you need to submit requests by courier, mail, or fax.
All requests are handled by the SA Mental Health Service Library officer who supplies material from our library. If the book you request is already on loan to someone else, she will place a hold on it, and send it to you as soon as it is returned.
If the book or journal article you want is not available from our collection the request is transferred to Interlibrary Loan staff who obtain material from other libraries in Australia, or sometimes overseas. There is usually a two day turnaround for requests that are available from our collection, but interlibrary requests will take longer (usually: copies within 7 days and books 2 weeks).
Delivery
Books are delivered via the courier system, to your work address, and journal articles are usually supplied electronically (desktop), although you can request paper copies if you'd prefer.

The Library has a courier run which feeds into the government courier system by making deliveries and pickups at Glenside Campus on a daily basis.
