Education: Pathways to Teaching in Secondary Schools

The School of Education’s degree programs prepare students for teaching in middle and senior secondary schools. This presentation will be relevant to students entering university for the first time and for students who already hold a tertiary qualification. The Bachelor of Teaching and Graduate Diploma in Education will be discussed, with reference to eligibility, program structures and employment opportunities.

Economics: A degree for life!

The University of Adelaide offers the widest range of degree and subject offerings in the field of Economics within South Australia. The single and double degrees promote the development of employment skills including critical and logical thinking, evaluation of argument and evidence and the ability to research global issues. These programs provide an excellent foundation for a wide range of careers within the private or public sector.

Economics offers a choice of courses including development and environmental economics, international trade and finance. An accounting pathway may be undertaken in the Bachelor of Economics degree.

Commerce/Finance: Taking Care of Business

The Bachelor of Commerce is a multidisciplinary degree that aims to develop students’ professional skills in preparation for entering the workforce. Commerce offers a choice of pathways including accounting, corporate finance, international business, management and marketing. Law: The Role of Lawyers in Contemporary Society

The Adelaide Law degree is designed to equip students with high-level analytical skills.  Law graduates are sought after not only in the Legal Profession but also in other areas of employment, particularly in the commercial, government and non-government sectors.

The Bachelor of Laws covers a wide range of topics, including: family, public and criminal law and it can be undertaken as either a single degree or as part of a double degree program.

Design Studies, Architecture and Landscape Architecture

The programs in our school are very 'hands-on' and involve active learning, field trips and group work. The programs have dual aims to develop knowledge in design and built environment, including digital and manual modelling; and to develop proficiency in written, oral and graphics communication.

This session will provide information about our programs, such as study pathways and career opportunities, and will also showcase students' work and achievements.
