Prudential Services provides professional advice and support to help the University "act with prudence" in making its decisions and planning and implementing projects. 

We actively bring the perspective of "prudential management" to the University's activities, particularly those with legal, compliance or risk implications.

The services and skills we contribute include assistance with ground level detail, and "big picture" advice on the implications of decisions within the broader University context.  Such analysis from a University-wide perspective is invaluable in furthering the strategic objectives of the University and in predicting (and therefore avoiding or better managing) any unintended consequences that decisions, arrangements or projects may have. 

Part of the Division of Services and Resources, Prudential Services was established in October 2005 to provide legal, compliance, insurance and risk management support and advice to the University community.  We strive to provide high quality, timely and relevant advice across the Faculties and Divisions, and encourage early engagement of our services in the planning and execution of projects, agreements or proposals.  We provide expert advice on legal, policy and risk issues, and serve as an objective sounding board for ideas or challenges, while you continue to manage and drive your projects. Our support is tailored to help you maximise opportunities and benefits, and minimise risk and unintended consequences.
