Student Support Services

Student Support Services endeavours to assist students maximise their University experience and achieve academically.

Accommodation Service

At the University of Adelaide, we understand it's important for students to be in a living situation that supports both their study priorities and lifestyle – finding the right accommodation is closely tied to academic success.

Careers Service

The Careers Service assists students to learn the necessary skills to manage their career throughout life. It enables students to articulate their professional skills, values and graduate attributes while empowering them to compete globally in the labour market.

Counselling Service

The Counselling Service provides personal counselling for students in relation to issues that are affecting study. Professional counsellors are available to assist students explore options towards resolving their difficulties.

Disability Service

In keeping with the aims of the Disability Discrimination Act and the University's policy regarding Students with Disabilities, the University of Adelaide provides a range of services to students with temporary or ongoing disabilities or medical conditions.

Elite Athlete Support & Information Service

The University of Adelaide is an Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network and offers an Elite Athlete Support & Information Service to assist eligible student athletes.

International Student Centre

The International Student Centre provides ongoing support to international students. It works closely with student groups, faculties and University administration to ensure the experience of all international students is a positive and successful one. 

Safe Steps - safety awareness on campus

A safety awareness campaign is run at the North Terrace campus at the end of daylight savings each year to make students aware of the potential dangers when leaving campus. The campaign encourages staff and students to take actions to ensure they travel safely to their car, bus, train or taxi.

 The Roseworthy Student Advisor

The Roseworthy Student Advisor is responsible for individual counselling, pastoral care to international families living on campus and campus community development.

Transition Unit

We recognise that starting university is both exciting and challenging. Students are introduced to new ideas, skills, knowledge and friends while having to settle into life on campus. The University of Adelaide offers a number of events and services to make this transition easier.
